Electroplating Is Done Mainly To Develop A Thin Metal Surface Of Some Solid Surface By Reducing The Conductivity Of The Metal And Is Mainly Used In Construction Units

Electroplating is a generic name for methods that generate a thin metal surface on a solid substrate by the reduction of conductive cautions of the metal with electrical potential. Electroplating can take any form, it can be applied to metals such as iron and aluminum, silver, copper, brass, and nickel. The process uses two kinds of electrolysis: direct and electrolytic. In direct electrolysis, the metal electrodes are in the form of a piece of metal while the electrolysis works on the metals with an opposite potential. In the electrolytic method, the metal electrodes are placed in a solution that is capable of inducing electrolysis on the metal. Electroplating can also be performed on non-metals, but this is less commonly done. The most common kinds of electroplating are done on metals using the direct method; and these are known as cold dip galvanization, hot dip galvanization, and rack plating. Hot-dip galvanization is used in the production of many kinds of plating, including ...
