Digital Wound Management Devices; Provide 2- & 3-Dimensional Assessment of Wound
Digital wound management devices are medical devices that are used in the measurement, imaging, and documentation of wounds. These network-compatible smart devices or electronic devices help measure wound dimensions (depth, width, length, and area) and create a visible record of these dimensions. They are also used to calculate change in area of wounds over the course of healing. Digital wound management devices are extensively used to assess burns, chronic wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, incisional wounds, and traumatic wounds, among others. Thus, with the increasing prevalence of aforementioned ailments, the demand for digital wound management devices is also increasing.
